1. Introduction
Resultigo ("we", "us", "our") operates the Resultigo website and services ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the Service. Resultigo is based in Estonia and operates under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Estonian data protection laws. This policy applies to all users worldwide. The English version of this Privacy Policy is the binding version. Any translations are provided for convenience only.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data: Account data - email address, username, and password (hashed). If you sign in via Google, we receive only your email address from Google. Profile data - optional information you choose to provide, such as an avatar or bio. Activity data - predictions you submit, game memberships, leaderboard rankings, and bonus question answers. Technical data - IP address (for security and rate limiting), browser type, device type, operating system, and pages visited. This data is collected automatically via server logs and analytics tools. Communication data - any messages you send to us via the contact page or support email.
3. How We Collect Data
We collect data in three ways: Directly from you - when you create an account, update your profile, submit predictions, or contact us. Automatically - when you browse or use the Service, through server logs, cookies, and analytics tools (see Section 6). From third parties - when you authenticate via Google OAuth, we receive your email address from Google. We do not access any other Google account data.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data under the following legal bases: Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) - processing necessary to operate your account, store predictions, calculate leaderboard rankings, and provide the core Service you signed up for. Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - processing necessary for security (IP logging, rate limiting, fraud prevention), analytics (understanding how the Service is used to improve it), and maintaining the integrity of games and leaderboards. Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) - processing that requires your explicit opt-in, including personalized advertising via Google AdSense, marketing emails and newsletters, and non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 11).
5. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes: • Operating and maintaining your account • Storing and displaying your predictions and leaderboard rankings • Sending transactional emails (verification, password reset, terms updates) • Sending marketing emails and newsletters (only if you opt in) • Displaying advertisements via Google AdSense • Analyzing usage patterns to improve the Service (via Google Analytics) • Preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access • Responding to your support inquiries • Complying with legal obligations
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Service. You can manage your cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner. Essential cookies - required for the Service to function. This includes a single httpOnly authentication cookie for your login session. These cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies - Google Analytics (GA4) cookies that help us understand how users interact with the Service. These are only set with your consent. Advertising cookies - Google AdSense cookies used to display relevant advertisements. Ad content may be personalized based on your browsing behavior, subject to your consent and Google's privacy practices. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Google Analytics (GA4) - usage analytics. Data may be transferred to Google servers in the US. Google acts as a data processor under our instructions. Google AdSense - advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. Google OAuth - optional sign-in method. We only receive your email address. Render - our hosting provider (EU region). Render processes data on our behalf as a data processor. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances: With other users - your username, predictions, and leaderboard rankings are visible to other members of the games you join. Some game names and leaderboard data may be publicly visible. With sponsors (aggregated only) - companies that sponsor public games may receive anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as participant counts and engagement metrics). They never receive personal data. With service providers - the third-party services listed in Section 7, acting as data processors on our behalf. When required by law - if we are compelled by a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request.
9. International Data Transfers
Our servers are hosted in the European Union (Render EU region). Your core account and activity data stays within the EU. However, some third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may transfer data to servers in the United States. These transfers are protected by Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable. By using the Service with analytics and advertising cookies enabled, you acknowledge these transfers.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Account deletion - when you delete your account, we retain your data for a 30-day grace period in case you wish to recover your account. After 30 days, your personal data (email, username, profile) is permanently deleted. Anonymized data - your predictions and leaderboard entries may be retained in anonymized form (displayed as "Deleted User") to preserve the integrity of game leaderboards. This data can no longer be linked to you. Server logs - IP addresses in server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes, then automatically deleted. Legal obligations - we may retain certain data longer if required by law.
11. Your Rights
Under the GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights: Right of access - request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Right to rectification - request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. You can update your username and profile directly in your account settings. Right to erasure - request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account through your profile settings, or contact us. Right to data portability - request your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Contact us at info@resultigo.com and we will provide your data within 30 days. Right to restrict processing - request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances. Right to object - object to processing based on legitimate interest (e.g., analytics). Right to withdraw consent - withdraw consent for any processing based on consent (e.g., marketing emails, advertising cookies) at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@resultigo.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For Estonia, this is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that data promptly. 13. Changes to This Policy and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by displaying a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes.
